Getting to an appointment or moving safely between departments shouldn’t be delayed because a wheelchair isn’t available.

Following a funding application from the Trust’s Facilities Management team, the Friends of East Surrey Hospital were pleased to approve funding for additional wheelchairs to help improve the experience for patients across the hospital.

The new wheelchairs will help ensure patients can get to where they need to be more quickly and comfortably, while also replacing older wheelchairs that had reached the end of their serviceable life.

So, if you see one of these wheelchairs around East Surrey Hospital, you’ll know it was funded by the Friends of East Surrey Hospital!
